It doesn't say expricitly, but with the intro, where a Berserk is running around some ruins in the desert retrieving the Head, we can pretty surely assume that that was Truan (the Berserk) in Muirthemne (the desert ruins).

It seems to be composed of units; there are several legions in Myth II (the seventh Legion was sent to Scales, etc), part of the greater army called "The Legion".
