: To be a general do not prevent him,to be a capten
: warrior. To be mentioned by Alric that he fought
: against Shiver, means that he was a skillfull person
: which that makes him something a Warrior Captain,or
: better an Avatara (besides Baeldun looks very similar
: with MAELDUN)
: And we don't know how many Avataras still existed till
: that day.
: Personally only an Avatara or a Fallen lord(like the
: Deceiver) could face Shiver,or a special hero just
: like Rabican. That's why I still think that he is an
: Avatara or a great Warrior Captain.
Yeah. Usually to become a general and stuff like that, one has to distinguish himself while in service to the military in some way or another. In times like those, becoming a general probably came after being a great warrior captain, or being some sort of avatara.
The only other real way to become a general was to go to some sort of military strategy school (like Sun-Tzu's school of War in ancient China) and then join the military as a commander of some sort and work his way up from their in the ranks.
We know that Baeldun was a great general, so he must have been either a great warrior captain or an avatara or a schooled commander before he became a general. To become a general from the captain or schooled commander beginning, he would have had to increase in rank through distinction in battle, or filling dead guy's ranks. Now, since there were no
major battles between the great war and soulblighter's return, so we could assume he did not gain rank through battles. Any generals that were in the army afterwards (probably survivors from the western civil wars started by the head) may have died of old age, but younger ones would have replaced them before Baeldun had a chance. He'd have to outlive many many people to do it that way. And if he had gained the rank by filling dead men's places, he probably would not have the type of stategical skill that he did.
If he was an avatara trained after Balor's fall, he would have probably been given command of an army for himself (alric did when he was young), and had the skills to command it. That, I think is actually pretty good (not invincible) evidence that he is definitely more than just a warrior general.
