: Probably because Bungie hadn't nailed down the calendar
: system of Myth yet, other than it worked more-or-less
: like the Earth calendar.
: I didn't say the images are OF Myrkrida; they're the
: Myrkridian logo. Look at the Krid standard, any image
: of it you can find. It has the same face-thing on it.
Really? Interesting. Forgot about that.
: This could have been because of living in the Tain for so
: long.
It could, though I doubt there was enough food/water for a few thousand years Tain-time of evolution.
: I was suggesting that that thing was a
: "Fetch-thing", not an actual Fetch like the
: ones we saw. But a different kind of Fetch, a Fetch
: Queen or something. Maybe their goddess - they ARE all
: priestesses, so they must have a goddess they worship.
I concur.
: Now this I can believe.
: BTW, the "bug-woman" I was reffering to was the
: symbol on front/back sides of the gate, above the
: Krid-faces. It's a nondescript head, a torso with
: boobs and stub-arms, and some kind of thorax. I
: thought that could be a larval Fetch or something,
: before turning humanoid.
Indeed, and this is what I'm thinking is a spider-goddess. As an aside, I don't think the arms are stubby; I think they're just crossed in front. The very similar creature on the side of the gate has quite long arms.
: Actually, Fetch take a LOT of pleasure in causing harm to
: living beings, as they hate everything in our world.
: The Trow, on the other hand, could care less whether
: someone lives or dies. If they get annoyed, one swift
: KIK and no regrets. If they're not bothered, they'll
: just ignore you.
: Ouch. That's not a very good fit, if you catch my drift.
See, I TRIED to avoid this area of the discussion. I TRIED not to have it descend to this level. Are you proud of having shattered my dreams? Fine, here we go. How do you know it's not a very good fit? Maybe Trofetch trysts consist of, physically, a hearty handshake or something. Or maybe the Trow are--well---human-sized in some aspects. Those enormous cities and temples they build represent a severe case of overcompensation.
