: outside of the walls - just like on top of the Tain
: gate - and some flowing pattern on the inside - just
: like the sides of the Tain gate. Those Smiths sure did
: leave their mark around.
Yeah, sure. If they were the smiths and everything that created things, and magical things at that, then they were probably hired out to make the Walls. Connacht probably didn't know that they were the Spider cult quite yet, so he probably just thought they were exceptional craftsmen. The smiths then made the walls and left a few "magical" inscriptions on them in the form of their wierd spider gods.
