: It seems like *everyone* with any sort of exceptional
: skillz lives a long time. All Dwarves live longer than
: ordinary humans; Mauriac's well over 100 and still,
: apparently, lucid; the Warlocks very well could be
: centuries old (depending on whether the descriptions
: of "ancientness" apply to them or to their
: order). And, of course, the Great Heroes who survive
: live a thousand years more until they become
: Levellers. Balor didn't look any older than Connacht,
: in fact; maybe as Alric increases his powers, he'll
: start to rejuvenate?
The one exception to this rule seems to be that Balor, after sacking Muirthemne, looked much worse than he did in the comic or in the end of TFL. I've postulated that he looked so good later because he had the rejuvenating magic armor, but why would he start looking worse? Perhaps when the Leveller takes one over, they start to look progressively worse and worse, unless preserved with magic armor. The Trow seemed to notice a marked difference on sight.
