In Response To: Re: Royal Spinal Column (DIN)

: None from TFL (Warriors, Archers,Dwarves,Berserks)fought
: against Soulblighter. In MYTH 2 they fought their
: children or their grandchildren. You can see this from
: their names.(which are realistic)The heroes of the
: past(sush as Balin,Mauriac)trained the new
: generation.I think the same happend with the heron
: guard.

I think you may have misunderstood some of what I said:

I never suggested that any Warriors, Archers, Dwarves or Berserks had survived on. I only referred to Heron Guards, who were very much alive in TFL as Journeymen. They are as immortal one can get while still being mortal: they do not die by non-violent means (you'd expect them to be pacifists like me). It says this in several places in the game.

: King Alric is mortal! As mortal was Cu
: Roi,Murgen,Rabican,Maeldun and the other avataras who
: died!

Good point. It never says that Alric is immortal, we just assume from his extreme longevity (and what mortal 120(at a wild guess)-year-old could behave the way he did in 'Twice Born'?) that he must be 'immortal' in the same way as the Heron Guards. Howerver, to my point, being mortal does not hinder being undead. All of the Thrall/Ghasts/Soulless and the rest were first mortal then undead, as were the Shades. I classify him as Undead becausein my experience when the head and spinal column are separated from the rest of the body by a few hundred miles, the body and the head die. Any animation of the head or body thereof would be classified therefore as unnatural and any observed life in the above would necessarily be unlife. So There.

: Personally,I don't think that Alric needed to keep secret
: his age or tric us.Again I still think that is a
: powerfull avatara(Maybe the best)-a good magician but
: he is mortal.

: Respectfully. DIN

I don't think and didn't say that he would be covering up his age, rather his state of being Undead. He was an old geezer at the time of TFL, as I said earlier (he was old enough to understand how a dispersal dream works, and seemed knowledgeable on subjects such as Teleportation and World Knots, Great Devoids and the like- he was no young upstart...), and he had no reason to be ashamed of his age, age being another status mark(To use the words of Mad Hettie of London: "You don't get to your two-hundred-and-fiftieth birthday without learning a thing or two!").

Respectfully and happily, Da Pacifist
