Yeah it's possible if your not using an imac (keyboard doesn't seem to agree with the process). The host does a normal multiplayer map in options for the game, then after youve set in time and everything you hold the right or left arrow key (it's been to long since I've done it) and click the button to use single player maps WHILE STILL HOLDING THE ARROW KEY. it should display the time limit and stuff on the game preview that you see before you start. It often takes several tries (I don't know why) and if you can't get it to work try setting game data clicking single player button then selecting the map then hold the arrow, right or left, and click the single player button again. I'm sorry I don't remember which of the two orders to do or the arrow key, it's just been so long...
