Actually, only Garrick is a captain, Cruniac is a level above (Lieutenant?). And then there's the journal writer, who seems to be above just a grunt, but below Captain. Actually, he (in TFL) tends to speak of Mauriac as an equal, so mb the Journal Writer is a Warrior Captain!

Well, the Herons were fighting alongside the Emperor in the final push against Moagim Reborn (where the Emp died), and I would presume that Connacht was there too. So they did fight alongside him at least once.
