"What the? Where did he go?" was intended for the Shade, who was supposed to teleport out (and I swear I saw him do it once, when I managed to run around past him!). He would disappear, and then reappear damaged with no cubes. But somehow it got fux0red so he dies and a SECOND Shade appeats, damaged with no cubes.
