Okay, look. Each Dark Age is ushered in by the same beast--the Leveller. So all Levellers are the same. BUT--they have different names, different appearances, and apparently different personality traits (i.e. Balor's dislike of Myrkridia). It requires no skill at rationalization to work out that "same" and "different" are relative terms.
And GURPS does say--to the same degree of certainty as the Myth 2 epilogue, which consists of a single Journeyman talking to a single Legionnaire--that "every Dark lord is a Light hero reborn, and vice versa." So you're wrong on that count. Every Light hero is the reincarnation of a previous Light hero.
