I suppose they must have--though they made the same mistake he did and forgot to mention that it would have infinite mass and therefore would turn the Mythworld into a giant black hole that would eat the entire universe. No matter how thin the pages are (and I'm assuming they're at least 20#), an infinite number of them would have this problem.

If everything that ever will happen is recorded in the Total Codex, then there is no free will in the Mythworld. Everything is predetermined and the Nine knew exactly what was going to happen with the Head.
