The culture of the ghols is probobly more complex than most scholers of the civilised nations will addmit. But I dont have time to make any hypothicis at the moment, maybe latter.
The ghols where more or less forced into balors service by the trow. The quote from TFL would imply this anyway, "or we will fell your people like a pine forrest...". They probobly stayed in service when the strength of the dark helped them over run the Dwarves homeland.
