In Response To: Ghols are interesting creatures (GholMan)

: I find ghols the most interesting race in the entire myth
: world. They are are like bizare mirror reflections of
: our simian past. They have a society or sorts and do
: appreciate a sence of asthetic art (the god head).
: They are tool makers and have a grunting language.
: They have a long past with the dwarves. I find them
: interesting. Anyone else care to hypothasize about
: there culture or hierarchy? I wonder what influenced
: these creatures to Balors side (perhaps destruction of
: their dwarven enemies).
In the TFL comic, it says the Ghols were not really evil. More savage and easy to control. With a combination of magical persuasion and the thought of killing the dwarves, the ghols practically loved working for the dark. The only really evil ghol was Fang-Grinder, who seemed to have also had some manner of magic ability, with a "gaze that froze men's souls", and a skull worth big bucks to magic folk.
