The armor may not have existed, or someone else may have already had it, or maybe he was captured before he got a chance to find it. At any rate, we don't know what happened to it.

The leveller isn't undead. His hair was probably burned off in the magical firestorn he called down on Muirthemne right before that picture. He had 100 years to grow it back, so his full head of hair in Myth makes sense.
