Ok, here's the History of Unlife according to Forrest:
Trow perhaps used Unlife. Perhaps the Dream just landed near Si'anwon.
Moagim used Myrkridia. Might have used undead too; probably not.
Moagim reborn, we don't know. Probably Myrkridia too, perhaps undead.
Bahl'al searched for Dream of Unlife in Si'anwon, but reportedly never found it.
For some reason, THRALL ARE STILL CALLED "Children Of Bahl'al"! What's up with that?
Balor has necromancy as his greatest secret during the Great War.
Soulblighter learns it, teaches it to humans, now it's common knowledge.
So, as you can see, something is definitely up here, if Bahl'al never found the Dream but Thrall are still named after him - and that it was Balor's greatest secret, but then Soulblighter learned it, and now ordinary humans know it!
