: Hmm..
: I just saw something interesting
: In Antero's Bestiary there is a pic of Connacht and Damas
: and some other guy (possibly Myrdred, Faceless Man)
: well in GURPS on page 97 there is a picture of Alric
: Rabican and another guy standing next to Alric..
: well the guy looks a lot like the guy standing next to
: Connacht A LOT..
: Same weird robe and amulet thing around his neck..
Actually, that pic on page 97 is from the pregame narration to--I think it's Gate of Storms. The guys in it are Rabican, Murgen, and Maeldun. Murgen's probably the one with the staff and Maeldun's probably the one with the sword.
: now that's pretty weird..
: It's probably Mazzarin
: It says in GURPS that he helped Connacht defeat the Trow
: and since the story is about the Trow this would make
: sense..
But GURPS also says Mazzarin died decades before the rise of Connacht. Connacht was helped by his magical creations, not by the man himself.
The question of who that hooded dude is next to Connacht has been bugging us since the TFL comic came out. Some folks think it's Myrdred (who may have gone off with Connacht before he became Balor); others think it's the Faceless Man. (Both views were argued below in the "Myth Comic Questions" thread you saw, at least before it turned into a gossip discussion/support group. :-) You're right that, based on the clothing similarities it *could* be Murgen, though that would make him a thousand years old by the period of TFL
It's hard to tell whether Bungie hid his face so that we'd try to figure out who he is, or so that we wouldn't bother.
