In one of the original journal entrys it talks about "Mauriak was prince regent here during king Alrcs adilesence." That implys Alric was too young to rule the Provence, which Covenent was the Capital of. The provence was the largest of the western kingdomes. Its largest citys were Tyr, Covinent, and Scales. It streched to the cloud spine, and borderd the Erim; but I think Strand and its surrounding area was independent. The only reason I am telling you all this is because it sounds like you need it for some reason, and I am just naturaly helpful;)
Anyway this is the only hard evidence I can remember of the top of my head. If you are thinking Alric was from the wind age I am afraid you are mistaken. He came about near the end of the wolf age.
