Well. I won't be able to top that in one post, but here's what I've done so far.
Collections-When I got info on the collections folder, I found it was 6 megs. I'll admit, most of that was me. Alric has so many bitmaps...I deleted all non-essential bitmaps and sequences, and pared my collection tag down from 4 megs...to 1. Also, there seem to be collections for units that have no purpouse of being external. Ducky and His Skwirel come to mind. I can't find any effects that couldn't be duplicated with some well-places tags that are about 5k apiece. Milk Man cannot have a new collection just to add one bitmap to it.
Forrest's Field-I'm still havin difficulty figgering this out. I'll do a bit of cosmetic work on it when it's understandable to me.
Joy-Well, Forrest, you are right, I shouldn't use lightning, but I experimented extensively, and the projectile will not work without it. Damn. Also, he now has much more flavor.
SCARI SKWIREL-Bobo must go, I'm afeered to say. Ducky will have to go get his own heads. Bobo was innovative and fun while he lasted. Let us all have a moment of silence and bow our heads...
Milk Man-Well. Ummm....I'm taking the liberty of retrieving the stuffed archive of the first AN plug ever, and restoring MM's unit, and adding from there...
WW-He needs more health, considering how terrible the fireball recharge is, so he can can carve up armies, but will take considerable damage from doing it.
SiliconDream-I don't think I'll make many modifications to the unit, but I'll bet my ass I can ditch that "phasing" problem with his barriers.
Unused Monsters/Other Extraneous Tags-Sil, I'm wondering if you forgot to start with a clean local folder when you started the AN plug, 'cause there's lots of tags in the various folders that do not seem to be used..."posted archer" in the monsters folder, "dry river bush tree obj" in the objects folder? I sense a space-saver by deleting those...
And one last Idea™ I had: Perhaps it would be more efficient to combine all the collections into one big giant one? Plus, that way, we could add a bitmap here, another there, for effects, without having to extract whole collections. I'll bet it would save a bit of size, too...
These are what I am looking at now. I prolly did not respond to everything that Forrest posed about, but...oh, well. I'm only human...
