: I always presumed they were called 'dark gods' by the
: Wyrd-worshippers, and thought of in a similar way as
: Christians think of pagan gods. They aren't epi-evil
: like the Leveller or Satan, they're just the old,
: not-pure-as-light way, and hence "dark".
Yes, I think that is correct. Not evil, but considered impure.
: Actually, it says that only the Ghols REMEMBER the names
: of the Dark Gods. Others may have known them before.
Ah yes, whoops!
: (On a side note, it is also said that the Ghols
: worship enormous pieces of unworked stone, like the
: godhead Balin destroyed at Myrgard; could it be that
: they think the stones ARE the Dark Gods?)
That would mean that they really are complete idiots!
: Sounds right to me.
: I think it is where Nyx forged the Trow. (Interestingly,
: there's an unused sound in The Forge that calls the
: thing Soulblighter stands on "the Anvil".
: Could this maybe be the mysterious Anvil of Culwyeh?).
Ah ha! Maybe...
: And the rest of your conclusions I agree with.
Cool, that doesn't happen much!
: I imagine that the Dreams fell to earth like meteors, and
: their physical representation are the Runestones.
: Nobody put the Runestones there, they just exist
: wherever the Dreams are
I think that is likely also. The actual Dreams do not seem to be physical things. I can't remember whereabouts in GURPS, but somewhere it suggests that the Dreams are not physical.
: Lutefisk and blodkarsk.
Don't swear at me you foul-mouthed youth! Snorgo Blongthog!
