In Response To: Myth 3? (Chris t' Crappy)

: Okay, we've beat the argument of storyline quality in
: Myth 2 into a withered pulp, but don't get me wrong! I
: could go on for hours! :) On to the topic of Myth
: 3...I feel that they planned on doing another Trilogy
: like Marathon, but then they started Halo right about
: when Myth TFL was vout to be completed and they
: eventually decided to make this game their Year 2000
: release and someone wanted to put an end to the Myth
: series, so they created Chimera and hopefully it will
: put a cap on Myth. Believe me, I'm hoping more than
: anyone that a Myth 3 will be released, hopefully it
: would take place during the Wind Age, but I doubt it
: now. I think Halo is the game and its story will link
: Marathon and Myth.

Chimera? CHIMERA!? The Marathon scenario?

[laughs his ass off]

Hahaha! Firstly, Chimera is not a Bungie product. It's run by my friend Scott, and to a lesser extent, Chris Lund (who joined the project when it merged with Salinger). Scott took it off the hands of Nick Nethery, who only decided to go ahead with the project because I liked the Marathon short story he wrote (the original plot of Chimera, which has since changed a lot because of the Salinger merger) so much.

Second, Chimera has nothing to do with Myth (unless a lot has changed since I was working on the team), though I did suggest a possible connection when I was trying to negotiate a merger with my own scenario, Eternal. (Chimera has an innate ability to merge with other scenarios for reasons I'm forbidden to reveal).

Unless, of course, you're talking about a different Chimera, in which case you can ignore this message.
