: ps. Mark my words, Myth3...eventually.
Okay, we've beat the argument of storyline quality in Myth 2 into a withered pulp, but don't get me wrong! I could go on for hours! :) On to the topic of Myth 3...I feel that they planned on doing another Trilogy like Marathon, but then they started Halo right about when Myth TFL was vout to be completed and they eventually decided to make this game their Year 2000 release and someone wanted to put an end to the Myth series, so they created Chimera and hopefully it will put a cap on Myth. Believe me, I'm hoping more than anyone that a Myth 3 will be released, hopefully it would take place during the Wind Age, but I doubt it now. I think Halo is the game and its story will link Marathon and Myth.
We already have a link, in the ending of Marathon where it says "But you were dead a thousand times. Hopeles encounters successfully won. A man long dead, grafted to machines your builders did not understand. You follow the path, fitting into an infinite pattern. Yours to manipulate, to destroy and rebuild" it's obviously talking about the Leveler and how he was continued through a machine, Durandel or whichever computer AI. It'll be interesting see where they take Halo and how they movie along this story.
