We don't really know where they lived; I always sorta thought they were from the south edge of the Berserk lands, near the Cloudspine, since they are the Myrms' "Northern Kin". However, they could have lived in the southeast near Gower and the zerks would still be "northern" to them. I doubt they lived north of Gower, as that's Avernus, the Trow lands. Sure, the Trow don't live there now, but it's implied in numerous places that humans don't venture into the ancient Trow lands.
