: I would assume that the Myrmidons are tribal, like the

They are tribal. However they may take on adoptees(how to spell?) or warriors whom they respect but are not of the Myrmidon race.

Also there is a disgrepency in the Gurps that I can not reconsile. It says that 300 years ago the might of the dark was powerless against the Myrmidons. The problem is that 300 years ago no one knew that a new leaveler was even in exsistence. The dark was at the most influencing conflict and unrest amoung the civilised nations. So how could the Myrmidons knowingly fight against Balor? More, if they where not in conflict with the Dark than how could Balor seduce them to slavery? They do not seem like the type to jump into bed(not litteraly) with a power they have not seen.

I thought that perhaps they where bound the the Cath'Bruig the same way the Berzerks are, swaping millitary servace in return for independence. This could have provided Balor with an oppertunity to make direct contact with the warrior race without interference by a third party, i.e Bruig regulars.

Just a thought, a question, and a possible answer.

Respectfuly
