: Alright first I must post one question than I will get to
: Kerain's traveling companions.
: Question: I have thought that as long as the people of
: Gower have been cut off from the western Nations they
: might not speak a comman languige. That is to say they
: may speak "old Bruig" instead of
: "modern Bruig". I based all of my characters
: on this assumption and therefor I will need
: information on how this affects an RPG champain. They
: can always learn the revised language of cource. I
: suppose I could drop the idea, but I wanted them to
: have realistic handycaps of new comers.
I think that the citizens of Gower would know Bruig. I doubt it's changed so much since they were last in contact with someone else who spoke it.
: The others...
: Charlam: The commander. He was chosen to lead the team
: becouse of his exelent recon skills and experiance. He
: and Kerain have a mutual respect for one another. He
: is only 2 years younger than Kerain. He is the only
: member of the group that can read or write.
: Laren: An archer of consiterable skill, Leren was
: assighnned to the team just one week befor departuer.
: Tomta: A rare bird is Tomta. He is a descndent of a group
: of nomatic horsemen from the east who passed
: (peacefully) through Gower nealy 600 years befor
: current events. They brought archery to Gower, and
: Tomta's skill with the bow is rivel to that of the
: Fir'bolg masters.
: Del: little is known of Del. He keeps to himself and
: speaks only when spoken too. He carrys out any order
: with grim efficensy that suits his withdrawn
: personalaty.
: Jefal: Jefal is the royle alarm system. He was assined
: with strict instructions to escape any calamity thay
: might befall the expidition and report back to Gower.
: This is not such a dishonerable post as it may seem
: however. Gower suffered under repeated invasions by
: Balors minions, who came from the west, not the north
: or south as might be expected. The court will know
: what is happening at the old crossroad of Muirthemni
: as a cource of surrvivle.
: The other two are importent only in record. After reading
: Wills plea for small groups I had Charlem send them
: back to report when he found not a desert conflict,
: but recovering fields of wheat and cattle. For the
: record their names are Othra and Mannle.
: I leave the rest to Will, who as the GM should probobly
: have as much flexabilaty with the NCPs backgrounds as
: possible.
: Thats all for now. I must go to fight off this cold and
: the condenced history of Rome.
: Respectfuly
: Drunken Ghol
Urm...I think 5 NPC's is a bit much! Lets say 3 at max. otherwise things will get very complicated!
