Well sometimes enough social pressure to conform can cause a person, or Trow maybe, to surpress certian characteristics...
The point is I don't think a Trow would go beserk in a human city, even they don't seem to be that foolhardy. A group of wandering brigands on the other hand... So anyway from what I understand of the Trow, if you can get past the fact they despise anything nonTrow naturally, they seem to relize their sins at the Valley of the Red Seal and other bloodbaths (also Myth II says they have a grudging respect for humans). This self imposed sort of penance could also add a new wrinkle. And, I don't see why a Trow couldn't form friends with people, although they'd probably have to be good warriors or mages, or companions to earn the Trows respect.
Oh, and about my characters motivation: he wants to contact the Forest Giants in Forest Heart when he gets a chance, but any adventures that occur along the way, are well, not discouraged.
