Cept there'd be no reason too, no benefit in it. And chances are everyone around would be Archimedes' friend and jump to his aid.

And Archimedes isn't a complete wuss - he doesn't have much raw force, but he's got finesse, mostly block and parry skills, not to mention magics of his own (the more powerfull of which he refuses to use, but still).
