Henrik, Tamer of Iron

Something of an oddity among the berserks and unsatidfied with a barbaric lifestyle, Henrik left his smithy to take up in Muirthemne. (This assumes the capital is still Muirthemne) There, he hooked up with two dwarven smiths, Ori and Darrin.

They opened up shop and managed to land a good contract making katanas for the Heron. They also make weapons for the consumer market, including custom pieces, etc. Due to the combination of Dwarven and Berserk technologies, along with some stuff they picked up from the Heron, they are one of the best armorers around. Business is good.

Things go on like this for a while. Due to conversations with the Heron and some freelance studying, Henrik decides that Connacht was right about the cycle. However, the cycle is perpetuated not only by the presence of magical artifacts, but by the use of magic in general.

Henrik's grandfather died in the Great War, and two of his brothers in the war against Soulblighter. He's quite determined to stop the cycle if he can.

He's a moral man, and knows it wouldn't be right to just kill all the magic users. Most of them aren't evil, regardless of the long term consequences of their actions. He goes around covertly destroying/disenchanting whatever artifacts he can, and disposing of whatever others he can. He wants to be able to do more. Specifically, to stop the proliferation of spell-books and such.

Henrik looks like an ordinary berserk, but he keeps his hair pulled back and his beard short to avoid accidental fires. He tends to wear Southern clothes.

His vow to never use magic beyond disenchants would count for a disadvantage, as would his semi-outcast status among berserks.

He could go around destroying magical stuff, or he could get involved with Dwarven society and possibly witht he recapture of Stoneheim.
