: Last Battle take place? When did Alric have his hands
: on Balor's head at all?
You'll notice he's showing off the head to a (in the words of Joe Staten) f*ck-ton of people, who appear to be Light warriors. This doesn't jibe with the narrator's statement that there are less than thirty Legionnaires left. I think Alric must have made a detour to the warriors fighting their hopeless battles somewhere in the Province to say "Look! Balor's dead! See, here's his head! Now take heart and kick ass!" or something to that effect, before sending the head off to the Devoid.
