He may not have had any other option. Armor is bulky and difficult to remove from a live body, it is much harder to get it off someone who is nothing but 200 pounds of meat. After he teliported the surviving leagonears the the valley of the red seal Alric was attacked by the surrviving dark forces in Rhi'anon. That would come to about 500,000 troops correct? So he probobly buged out right after the fight. If that is the case than the armor was most likely destroyed in the exsploson that destroyed what was left of the city.
Btw, does anyone know what coused the exsposon? I had originaly thought that Balors fortress somehow was connected with his fate and so released all the dark encantments in it when he died. Or maybe it was the armor? Or a giant volcano that just erupted at that time? Any one have a better idea?
