Not that all this matters, but I'm pretty sure that Myth I is pretty specific...from the beginning of the game, Soulblighter has been absent from the action, in the Untamed Lands. As soon as he unearths the Tain, he flies on over to Forest Heart. There, while using it, it is shattered, so that the shards end up in Forest Heart, but that's all Myth II material.
Of course, my point in bringing up the issue of the Tain is that, just as the former possessors of the Tain lost track of it (i.e., Connacht, Damas, Myrdred, other Avatara), so the same might have happened with any one of the five Eblis stones, meaning that Alric didn't need the D's help to find it, as the D probably didn't know anyway.
