You may remember that it states in GURPS:Myth that when the leveller was defeated early in his reign during the 2nd era by a great hero, it set a precident that the death of a leveller does not necessarily mean the death of his cause. However, there hasn't been a dark age since then, so it could very well have been referring to the modern age, which will be plagued by many uprisings of the Dark forces, by various people/lords.
