: I really am not sure what you're talking about when you
: say "why he needs to disappear in order to
: teleport." As far as I can tell, anyone who
: teleports disappears. That's the nature of
: teleporting--they disappear, and reappear somewhere
: else.
I'm sorry, I should have been clearer. I meant that the so-called Deceiver supposedly couldn't teleport--"move through odd angles," a Lovecraftian phrase if I ever heard one--unless unobserved. Both GURPS and the journal entry for "The Wall" confirm this.
: Anyway, I'm not going to keep arguing this--I can't prove
: you wrong if you keep on inventing powers that the
: Deceiver possesses. I'll just close by saying: you
: don't got a shred of evidence.
Inventing powers? The only hypothetical addition I made to the Deceiver's observed abilities is that he might be able to adapt a couple of his close-range spells for long-distance use, with correspondingly weaker effects.
And as for evidence--when Person A disappears, a similar-looking but not identical Person B appears, hangs around for a while and gets blown apart before my eyes, and Person A reappears unharmed, that's all the evidence I need to conclude that A and B are not the same person.
But feel free to stop arguing. :)
