: I actually don't think GURPS Myth can explain this all
: away, though if there is some reference in there about
: how Alric had a very odd memory, please let me know.
: If there is not, I welcome plausible theories as to
: these amazing acts of both ignorance and ESP. It would
: certainly put my mind at ease...
Well, let me add to your growing number of inconsistancies...
"...but this proved his temporary undoing when the Deceiver overreached himself in confronting the Watcher's army with his own. The Deceiver nearly died in fleeing that fight -- perhaps did die -- but was revived at Alric's command." - 'The Deceiver' GURPS
"His (the Watcher's) army kept moving forward despite the Deceiver's treachery. He then pursued Alric's ragtag forces with zeal even though he might have been tempted to seek out Myrdred's corpse, for among his hundreds of hatreds he cherished none more than that he held for his old foe." - 'The Watcher' GURPS
"On Dec. 7 the Watcher entered Seven Gates but found the Deceiver's army opposing him. The Watcher barely survived their last clash; this time the Deceiver had to flee and was presumed lost." - 'Treachery and Deceit' GURPS
"In his flight, the Deceiver attempted to cross the Stair of Grief but was attacked by Light forces. (around the time the Tain shattered)" - 'T & D' GURPS
All together, very interesting.
