In Response To: You're all using the word MURDER incorrectly!! (Chuth's Socks)

: "...a crow from soulblighter's murder..."

: This makes no sense.
: A murder is not a flock, it is to kill something.

: Thus, "A Murder of Crows" means a killing of
: crows, not a flock of 'em!

: Next time, look up some of these things.

I suggest you do the same.

Murder is one of those words with different definitions. "Murder" can be a verb (action word), meaning "kill intentionally", or it can be a noun (person/place/thing), meaning "flock of crows".

This has been somewhat common knowledge among educated people for long before Myth was even a twinkle in Jason Jones' eye. And also, why would Myrdred claim to have captured "a part of the murder", reffering to the crow he caught, if murder only meant to kill?

A bunch of whales is called a pod, but a pod is also something that beans are contained in. Perfect is an adjective (description of a noun), describing the state of something, but it can also be a verb (action word), meaning to make perfect. Words have many meanings.
