That's *definitely* not possible without script. What I *could* imagine doing is some sort of long-distance dispersal-dream style attack that doesn't do any damage but marks the ground, or produces a hovering light, or something like that. So you'd be able to see lights where any creatures are, even if you couldn't actually see the creatures themselves.
Then the *script-enabled* version would add observers so that you could see everything for a few moments.
