: Just a thought: If the comet appears in both the eastern
: and the western skies (at different times), then maybe
: there are two comets... one for the light, one for the
: dark... hmmm... not entirely sure but I think
: astronomy would dictate this had to be the case.
God knows how Myth's astronomy works, but there's no particular reason there would have to be two comets. Most planets rotate. It could be that the Mythworld's rotation combines with the comet's orbit so that the comet happens to alternate between appearing on the western and on the eastern side of the continent.
But yeah, there could be two comets. There could be anything. If the Mythworld is truly a dream of a god, then nothing we know about astronomy is relevant. Which isn't a reason to stop theorizing, of course.
