: Or it could mean that Balor just didn't realize that
: Alric was the Hero himself...or Alric IS the
: up-and-coming Leveller.
: What I'm confused about, though, concerning this
: timeline, is that Balor's flavor text in "The
: Last Battle" indicates that Connacht slew the
: Leveller in the "Second Era." Wouldn't this
: support the theory that an era is comprised of two
: ages?
1. Golden/Axe Age (dark). Height of Trow civilization. Pre-history for humans.
2. The Age of Reason (light). Trow decline. Tirecees defeats unnamed leveller. Cath Bruig empire starts.
3. The Wind Age (dark). Moagim defeats unnamed hero, but is killed anyway. Myrkridia take over.
4. The Age of Light/The Wolf Age (light). Connacht defeats unnamed leveller.
5. The Sword Age. Balor should have defeated Alric, making it a dark age, but that didn't happen so it looks like it's going to be a light age after all.
From what i've gathered from GURPS:Myth, the golden age really wasn't an age, the trow ruled and humans grew for more than 1000 years.
So, the wind age would have been the 2nd age, and connacht defeated the leveller of that age at the end of it, which eventually led to the 3rd age, the Age of Light/Wolf Age.
I could be wrong in this, because i don't have my GURPS book with me ATM, but i'm at work, and i think this sounds reasonable. If not, just ignore it.
