: As for "Limbs, Heads, and Smoking Craters"...
: sure it can apart of the game. Your party blows all of
: the stuff up *no matter what*, it just depends on how
: you beat the previous level that has bearing on
: whether you play that mission or not. If the game was
: multilinear (is this a word?), then your actions in
: the bonus levels would reflect on the rest of the
: game, altering your current course to a point where it
: would be different than the original course you
: strayed from. This is does not do. So, you have to
: assume the ammo dump was sacked if you play the level
: or not.
You seem to be saying that, because the ultimate outcome of the game is the same whether or not you get to "Limbs," it proves that the dump gets sacked no matter what. Why? No one ever said that it's instrumental to the war effort, so you wouldn't see any substantial effect in the Myth world whether it gets destroyed, say, right after "A Murder of Crows" vs. after Soulblighter's death.
For further proof, as you finish "Murder," should you walk off with the Deceiver, one of your men says "there has to be another way," implying that, rather than escaping to join with the Legion immediately, the party of escapees could go the other way--to the ammo dump. It's one or the other--one thing is accomplished, or the other is. There may not be any great effect in the game, but it nevertheless proves the existence of multiple paths, and therefore illustrates multilinearity.
