OK, here's definite proof that the game is multilinear: the secret "Limbs, Heads, and Smoking Craters." While "A Long Awaited Drinking Party" might be a joke level, "Limbs" certainly isn't. The plot is absolutely plausible, and Bungie did make a diary entry for it, as opposed to "Drinking Party." Thus, in the Myth world, it's conditional as to whether or not Soulblighter's secret arms stockpile is blown up shortly after the capture of the Deceiver--it depends on the actions of the player. Much like it's conditional as to whether or not Alric is killed in "The Five Champions" or "Out of the Barrier"--should all five heroes die, you end up with a post-game art which is a clear indication by the game-makers that Alric, believe-it-or-not, get's killed by the Dark, proving that they intend to kill him! Why is this so hard to believe? Chris, you gave up on the idea that "Soulblighter isn't REALLY trying to stop you at the Great Devoid." Can't you give up on this one?
