Your "Argh" is misplaced, my son. Read GURPS. "Loyalty isn't The Deceiver's forte...he fell in with Balor at the earliest stages...scholars can only theorize that he joined the Fallen Lords simply because Balor appeared to be foreordained to win." Those more knowledgeable than the narrator on these matters seem to think that The Deceiver didn't take much bending.
