In Response To: AN11 Report (Forrest)

(FC is "final candidate", the last stage before release in a software project's life-cycle. Just FYI. So, point out any major errors or omissions, or forever hold your peace. No, not your "piece"! Get your mind outta the gutter).

AN11 got off to a start with Duckyjo hosting, plus Forrest, Neomorpheus, Joyeuse, Smeagol, William Wallace, and special guest Dr. Gast. In the pregame chat, I decided it was time for a pop quiz, with the question:

"Where is Cavan Bight?"
And the winner was Joyeuse, with the answer, "The bay into which the Wild River empties."

Second question:

"Where are the Mountains of Kor?"
And the winners were Joy and Smeagol with the answer, "The Untamed Lands."

Third question:

"What is the name of the passage between the two northern (Berserk-owned) islands?"
And the winners were Joy and Will with the answer, "The Strainer of Kraken."

Fourth question:

"What was the place the Callieach met their doom called, before it was the Great Devoid?"
And the winners were Neo, Smeag, and Joy, with the answer, "The Valley of the Red Seal"

Fifth question:

"What is the name of the only other continent known in the Myth world?"
And the winner was Neomorpheus, with the answer, "the Faraway"

Then, other people started asking questions, but only two of the ones I can remember were notable. Someone asked the question:

"How many World Knots do we know of?"
And the winner was Forrest, with the answer, "Six."
(Madrigal, Covenant, Tyr, Scales, the Plain of Scales, and Rhi'Anon)

And finally, someone else asked the question:

"What is the only river that does not visibly drain into an ocean?"
And the winners were Will, Joy, Neo, and Smeag, with the answer, "the Gjol"
(Actually, we don't know where the Dramus drains to, or anything at all about the Tiber).

Then we played a game of Morte Della Luna, and Gorlan died half way through. Then we talked about "the Matrix" and why it's the coolest movie of all time. Then we played Morte again, and Gorlan died half way through.

Then Ducky tried to change it to CoD Level Pack 1, but we were all booted despite all of us having CoD1 in our plugins. So we yacked a little more, and Ducky tried it again. Same result. By that time, a ghost player dressed entirely in black and with a daggar next to his name (in an unranked room) had appeared, at least from Forrest's end. We yacked about nothing important, though somewhere in there someone came up with the "Wight Star Line RMS Wightanic" and how it could whoop the USS Enterprise. And then we tried Morte one more time.

Forrest stalled at the "waiting for other players screen", and thus was of no use. Neo got out of synch very early on, and dropped about a quarter through. He and Forrest, back in the lobby, yacked about the Matrix and why the phones seem to have a hard-wired function in there, an utterly pointless discussion. Everybody else went on to beat the level, with no casualties! An Asylum first! And it wasn't even on Timid! Wow!

Thus ended Asylum Night Eleven.
