In this vein, I should point out that in the GURPS section on The Head, it says that "research into ancient practice suggests that this enchantment was performed several times in the past." I think this area of plot is intentionally being left open so that GMs can decide for themselves whether to have The Head be a divine being or simply another type of undead.
