: I think you should read SiliconDream's post; the mixing
: up of the words shouldn't be read as anything more
: than a joke.
: Also, if the Deceiver really did intend to use his place
: on the glacier as a resting place, he would have
: retrieved his scepter and laid it alongside him, or
: had one of his warlock henchmen do it. Truth is, he
: was just far too weak and near-death to do that.
Have read it; made me feel ashamed. Y'all have some good points. I concede defeat. There is, however, the question of why the Deceiver sides with Alric in M2. So far I haven't heard a decent answer to that. I still think he chooses the Light--he could have just taken the scepter from the zerk, said thank you, bound or cloudkilled the zerk and gone off with a personal army of Mauls to do Soulblighter's work--or his (D's) own, for that matter. I know being released from bondage is a big deal in Myth--it's how Balor got the Trow on his side and so on--but the Deceiver is the kind of guy, even if he owes you something he's gonna do his own thing, yeah?
