: But that was Truan of the Hundred Battles. He's a berserk
: hero. Plus that was the Head, not Balor's head.

C'mon, you know my point. It was a game play, or should I say coding issue. Anyone can carry anything.

: They weren't dependent on him for power apparently, but
: GURPS maintains they had been bent to his will. The
: only exception is Soulblighter, who joined up on his
: own.

My point was that once Balor was killed they were not without power and life. They have their own will and life source.

: We all know that, but that doesn't mean all theories are
: equally viable. The game depicts Soulblighter as
: trying to stop the dwarves from throwing in the head,
: so that's how it is. You might as well say the dark
: lost on purpose, and Balor wanted those berserks to
: chop his head off and the Watcher left him behind
: hoping someone would make arrows from it. It's pretty
: silly.

::sigh::

My point was that Bungie only coded the dwarf to pick up items, carry them and then throw them. Anyone could have carried Balor's head but the limitation caused Bungie to use the dwarf. Soulblighter didn't know "only dwarves carried things" because anyone could have carried it. We jsut happened to use the dwarf because Bungie only had code for him.

As for your other comments, no. My point is, with other theories and facts to back it up, it looks as if Soulblighter could have wanted Balor dead and missed killing the dwarf on time on purpose.

Soulblighter had no idea who had the head. And possibly didn't care.

Perhaps he wanted the Head so he could kill Balor himself. Maybe he thought that killing him would transfer Balor's power over to him. Who knows what he thought but its not just the same old "Good Kills Bad, Bad Returns, Good Kills Bad Again" story. I know most people, including yourself, know this but some people seem to think that bad guys were truly bad and good guys were truly good...all the time.

Everyone has a different agenda.
