Don't forget that Moagim's favorite warriors were the Myrkridia. Now is it me (I know it's not, since Dan pointed this out already), or does Alric seem a little lax in exterminating the Krids after Soublighter died? Personally, if there were bands of nightmarish, incredibly vicious magic-using beasts running around my Province, I'd be a *lot* more interested in getting rid of them than in, say, trying to make the Barrier fruitful again, or moving the capital from Madrigal to Muirthemne. Especially since krids can *breed*. And do it faster than people, apparently. The problem's only going to get worse the longer it's left to grow. So why is Alric ignoring it? For the same reason it occurred to him to bait Balor with the myrk flag--because myrks don't bother him like they bother the rest of humanity. Because he used to be Moagim.
