: ALRIC IS THE LEVELLER!!!
Oh, one other bit that points toward this. On page 24, the last paragraph. After talking about how recent events seem to defy the cyclical logic (not to be confused with circular logic) of the Myth world, it says:
"The scholars whisper, search the faded lines of their musty volumes, and cast anxious eyes at their archmage emperor..."
Though the one question is, if Alric is the Leveller, who's the hero who's supposed to oppose him and die at the start of this cycle? Balor? Soulblighter? They don't seem much like heroes to me. And Alric doesn't seem much of a destroyer either. But all the cyclical evidence points to it being him.
