But you must remeber they're most likely not carbon based. Why 27 times the weight? Because theoretically they'd be 3 times as tall, 3 times as tick, and 3 times as wide? I don't think they'd have to be.
second Forest Giants are said to be 3 times the height of a man, but GURPS SAYS they have only 18 times a man's mass. which would be more preportional. also it hints that old FG's might be able to grow much bigger. FG draw water and nutrients from soil, which also limits where they can go somewhat.
