I just beta the last level included in the leaked beta, "The Casual Ovserver". The level is difficult, even with all those wimps.
The Casual Observer, as you may be aware, is one of the Fallen and Can't Get Back Up Lords. I looked at him and his flavor text closely. So closely, in fact, that I lost the level the first time around. He is a distantly related brother of The Watcher's, and chewed through his left arm to escape from a prison of stone. This brings up an interesting new theory...was the Casual Observer posing as The Watcher in Seven Gates? Did the Watcher trick him into it? What does this say about the Fallen Lords' family life?
In this level, The Casual Observer has been stoned by arrows tipped with illegal substances, and the good dudes must kill him. As it turns out, The Casual Observer explodes at the end, but there is a curious spoken phrase, "What the hell? Where did he go?" Then The Casual Observer reappears behind the wimps and massacres them. All these tiny details lead me to believe that The Casual Observer might have lived through the attack. But this IS a beta, anything might change in the final version.
