: Hey, don't knock Starcraft. It may not be Myth, but it
: had a great story, and well balanced gameplay. It
: didn't win all those awards for nothing. Come to think
: of it, Quake 2 has its good points as well, but none
: of them have anything to do with the story. If you
: want to knock a best-selling game, go for Deer Hunter
: or something.

: Who made up the rule that to like one game, you must hate
: all its competitors?

Really, Dan, That's not the point. I'm sorry about that, but I was just using those as an example. But we can be pretty sure (I hope) that neither of those games has a plot anywhere near as cool as Myths. Starcraft is close, but not quite. The fact that there is a whole forum that's been going strong this long pretty much proves that the story of the myth games is much better and happier than other games. What other games do you know of that have this type of forum?
The other reason I said that is because Myth II is a newer idea. If I wanted a First Person Shooter game, I could look at over a thousand games and pick out one of them. Almost the same with warcraft style games. But when you want a new type of game that doesn't involve a single man wiping out entire droves of enemies, or resource gathering, what are you going to look for. Most games that are "different" are second rate. Myth II is not.
You probably are not seeing things the way I am. I understand, but just try to bear with me on this. Like I said. I'm just using those as examples.
