: Hey, congratualations on freeing yourself from the
: Geo-port.
Yeah, woo! (I'm saying that a lot lately). I got a used 33.6 from a friend who recently got an ADSL, but it was broken, so I just went out and bought a new 56K. And man, getting that damned GeoPort out was a hassle; first the uncharactaristically (for Apple) hard-to-open case, then the weird pseudo-screws pseudo-nuts to get the plastic off the back end of the MB, then getting the damn plastic gover off the modem port, then the weird "COMM" slot in which the modem was placed which, apparently, you're just supposed to pull really, really hard on to get the damn GeoPort card out (which does nothing but route the modem port to the damn software modem)... then putting it all back together again.
Augh! Why can't ANYBODY design a perfect computer? I mean, every one I've ever seen, Mac or PC or anything else, has some horrible, obviously-avoidable design flaw(s) to it.
